Year 11 students achieved phenomenal results in their recent GCSE / GNVQ / BTEC examinations and coursework.
Everyone at Macmillan is delighted with this year’s GCSE results.
The headline figures were:
91% of students achieving 5 A* - C grades at GCSE or equivalent.
70% of students achieving 5 A* - C grades at GCSE or equivalent (including Maths and English). This is up from 67% for last year’s results, and is our highest score ever.
A Number of students in a range of subjects received letters from the examination board informing them that they gained the highest marks in the country.
The top five marks in the country for Religious Education were all at Macmillan! One of our students received the highest marks in two subjects, Religious Education and Electronics.
We wish all of our students continued success and good luck at the start of the next stage of their career path.
Post 16 Results
Students, parents and staff at the Academy are celebrating an A2 level pass rate of 99.6%, up from 97% last year, this represents the best ever A-Level results for the Academy!
A and B grades were at 46%, average UCAS points were up 14% at 285 points per student.
83% of the students are off to university while 17% have opted for a move directly into effective employment.
