Enterprising Macmillan!

Enterprise Promotional VideoMacmillan is working with four other Academies in other parts of the country (Westminster Academy London, Grace Academy Birmingham, West London Academy and Manchester Academy) to produce a DVD highlighting the different ways in which the academies are enterprising.  Because of the expertise of our TV studio, Macmillan Academy is co-ordinating the whole process.  The Macmillan contribution to the DVD can be seen by clicking here.

diplomas at macmillan

In September Macmillan Academy will be one of the first schools in the country to teach the government's new flagship qualification - the Diploma.  Macmillan will be involved in teaching the Higher Engineering Diploma to Year 10 students and the Advanced Engineering Diploma to Year 11 students.  Designed to integrate the theory with hands on experience, students will sample training in the real world of industry and will spend some time in the workshops of NETA, a firm who normally provide training direct to industry..  When they complete the Diploma many students will progress onto university and obtain a degree.  Others will find themselves excellent jobs or apprenticeships in local industry.
